Book Days
April 29/05 - It's the perfect time to visit the Orchard Barn.  Right now the blossoms are blooming and the bees are buzzing
These pictures are in chronological order of pictures taken off "Look what's happening right now at the Orchard Barn" on the Index page, special events, and just an all around picture diary of the good times we have here on the farm.
May 1, 2005 - It's tulip time at the Orchard Barn and boy are they pretty.
May 22, 2005 - May 22, 2005 - Another rainy Blossom Festival Weekend - Calla Lilly in bloom in the rain.  The barn on a dreary day.  But we're still smiling.
June 26,2005 - A thank you party for the Gleaners was held in the barnyard today.  It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone enjoyed the coffee and sweet treats.
July 17, 2005 - "Wedding Day at the Orchard Barn" - Mr. & Mrs. Rick Potyok
The day couldn't have been more perfect.  Great friends and family.
September 3, 2005 - Residents from Swan Valley Lodge (Nursing Home) enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Orchard Barn.  Lots of talk about the "old" days and barns that they recalled in their younger days.
September 17, 2005 - Quilt Festival - Orchard Barn Quilt Challenge.  Mary Johnston from Wynndel and Brenda Panio from Riondel entered the challenge.  It was a tough decision by all that voted but in every competition there is a winner and Mary Johnston was the winner of the Orchard Barn Quilt Challenge.
Both quilts were beautifully done and both are winners in our books.
Mary Johnston's stunning winning entry.  I understand from the ladies that visited the barn that the quilt was done in log cabin style quilting.  Every shingle and log in the barn, trees and grass are all stitched beautifully.  Truly a work of art and our pictures do not do it justice.
Brenda Panio's entry into the challenge was a fun depiction of the Orchard Barn, complete with artists in the upstairs studio, products and art in the gallery and flowers and tables and chairs in the barnyard to name only a few.  Brenda's secret visit to the barn captured all that we do here.
Mary won a gift basket worth over $100 from the Orchard Barn filled with Bee Happy products - soaps, lotions, exfoliating cloth, candle,  beeswax iron cleaner, an original painting and bookmark by Susan Snow, and 15 lbs of L.W. Truscott Farms honey.
November, 2005 -  Winter is just around the corner and the Orchard Barn is now only open by appointment - Please call (250)428-2470.  See you in the Spring.

The orchard has fallen into a carpet of beautiful coloured leaves
In April 2006, Susan was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer and with the help of angels, many friends and family and a team of incredible health care workers and professionals has survived the battle.

Our website is somewhat behind in it's updates, but we will through the grace of God have many more to fill in.
